Puglia, overlooking the Adriatic and Ionian Seas and blessed with an ideal Mediterranean climate, is one of Italy's most important wine-producing regions. Its winemaking history dates back to ancient times, with Greek, Roman, and Byzantine influences, but only in recent decades have Puglian wines gained a prominent place on the national and international scene. Thanks to ongoing efforts to promote native grape varieties and modernize production techniques, Puglia is now synonymous with quality, authenticity, and diversity.
